  • Trade from channel borders

The most effective, the most difficult of the presented, but quite accessible even for a beginner, and most importantly for a disciplined trader. Eric L. Nyman, in his famous Russian trader book - "The Small Trader's Encyclopedia", said that professional traders trade at the borders of the channel with very tight stops. This allows them to receive such a premium that several losses in a row are quite acceptable. Beginners, on the other hand, trade within the channel and lose money. So, the traded currencies are EUR / USD, the chart is 3 hours. To eliminate subjectivity, we use the percentage channel with 30% and 70% Fibonacci percentage levels. The basic rules for making transactions are clear from the figure (the plot area is chosen completely arbitrarily):

    The rules are as follows:
Positions are opened when 30% or 70% of the Fibonacci line (marked with red dots) crosses, necessarily after the price has entered the channel, that is, after it crosses the channel line (continuous red lines). Direction (Buy, Sell) - towards the opposite channel border.
Positions are closed at the channel borders. (strictly! No "pulling" profit and waiting for the loss!)

Immediately anticipating the questions - the graphics of the company ArtSoft are used, we will not give the period of the average and the order of the percentage channel, think and analyze, choose yourself. 2 lots are opened at the same time, while the trading tactics allows 4 losses in a row of 100 points (which we have not seen in the analysis of charts since 1971 (then the German mark)), maximum - 3 losses in a row with a total value of 215 points.
